The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 真的有必要3个小时吗？叙事非常值得研究。前半小时更像是发泄，但才华洋溢。后面两个多小时就是喜欢叙事，又拖沓又无趣。但还是蛮值得研究的文本。

从《无主之作》开始就开始特别喜欢男主，这部果然又没有让人失望！
一些部分的转场配乐，以及画幅都是复古的，但是手持摄影又削弱了年代感
发生在1930s德国的故事，前半段是用炫技的蒙太奇剪辑展现了当时社会的混乱动荡和人心惶惶，后半段则是普通而世俗的爱情与面包（虽然近年来面包被装饰成了梦想）之争。文明或许有历史性的演进，但是疯狂和死亡亘古不变。那时的他们，现在的我们。
这种镶嵌使得时代的阴影始终没有远去，却又不时让人遗忘或感到突兀。
山雨欲来前柏林的混乱与失序，像是最后的狂欢，清醒的人只能试图逆流而上，英文片名很直白。胶片很美，手持晃太狠了
很有趣的篇章，对节奏的把握不错。但终究是过渡篇
世界很糟糕，但仍然有人想好好活着。但最后他没有成功。
注定是又一段让人印象深刻的启程。独特的时代背景赋予其意义——萧条之后，劫难之前，世界仿佛在变得越发疯狂；然而却依然抓住激情，于动荡中纵情，麻木、忘记还有燃烧。
