The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     我一开始还在想这个又有亚洲佬、又说美式英文、又有英式英文、还有澳洲口音、甚至还有法语的现代化城市是不是虚构的，结果设定的是蒙特利尔........也有点道理吧........无非又是个大事本可以化小非要做的越来越大直到爆炸的片子。Sydney确实是极度上镜，虽然这片还是在消费她的性要素。

    Lou越来越像年轻时的Adjani了！一直沉重得呼吸困难，到结局那封信时眼泪终于冲出来。突然觉得影片里的很多细节还是关照着现实的，尤其被男权社会训练出的直男癌女人，写实到令人毛骨悚然。

    很奇妙的观影体验，分两次看完的，中间等待时候竟然很期待继续看，很久没有对片子后续有这么强烈的好奇心了，“当你凝望深渊的时候，深渊也在凝望你”，我可能像女主一样望着望着就陷进去了。片子还有两场我特别喜欢的啪啪啪前戏，镜头和剪辑施展的魔法，让验光仪的旋钮、刻度都那么有性张力。结尾多余。

    值得投入看的片子，情节最起码是脱离了小俗套。因为男女主的演技看起来不好，所以当成个很平常的片子，三心二意看的，最后的二十分钟后悔这样做了。推荐吧，慢慢看，品品人性也是好的。

    新时代的后窗，文火慢炖一样地渐入佳境，女主的美好肉体做到了从一开始吸引人看下去的支点，到第三幕锦上添花的惊艳，希区柯克真的到现在还在教别人拍电影，效果比夜班服务员这样不入流的廉价惊悚强多了。

    This one is quite a mix of thrills and spills and twists and turns. The moral of this movie: don’t invest too much in other people’s lives because grass isn’t always greener on the other side and sometimes the other side might claim your life. And always pull the damn curtains!
