The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 故事结构能联想到闻香识女人，剧情和故事套路一般，缺少动人心弦的震撼感，情节编排和逻辑有点突兀，交代不清。如果没有影帝的演技支撑话，恐怕还拿不到这个分。

三星半，故事讲的一般，最后的演讲算是有点尬住，反派老师还可以再没脑子一点吗？前面还是有不少浪漫的idea的，但就是教授和男主的人设及关系没有立实，所以结尾有点尬。

崔珉埴 真的是一个优秀的前辈… 这部电影应该是一老带三年轻
片名所说的“不正常/奇怪国家”，既指没有学问自由的朝鲜，也指扭曲了这种自由的韩国，所以数学家像崔仁勋小说《广场》主人公那样最终选择了第三国。他的儿子虽然是个빨간이(pink boy)、死于越北而非脱北，但毕竟是亲骨肉，能不伤心吗？至于潜伏的脱北间谍，既有服务于朝鲜保卫部的，也有在韩国国情院拿津贴的，本片都有所讽刺，两边都黑了，不过南边可以允许你黑它的自由。
前三分之二都不错，结尾韩国强行拔高，失了片子的基调。
