重新为张伯伦翻案，或者说还原出更务实复杂的政治人物，此片相当成功，也得益于之前研究和小说的基础，Irons的表演入木三分。造成戏剧冲突的小人物视角和动作其实并无关大局，更为可信。

这电影，嗯.....夸张式的表现力十分惊人，至少像猪拱槽一样挖取人腹的情节当时是恶心到我了。明显的缺点：主角的缺失；过剩的表达欲；表达的完成度较低。优点：血腥的氛围感、表现力；夸张的讽刺；阴暗质感的画面；
