The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 虽然是故事比较简单，场景也比较单调的一部西部片，但拍的还不错。这个年老单薄的农夫就是江湖传说的比利小子，在关键时刻拔枪射击，以一当十干脆利落。情节最后的反转也让他失去了生命，救了不该救的人，双方原来都不是好人。最后，本不甘于平淡的小儿子也持枪跨马，走出小屋，融入了西部苍茫的天地。

西部片，一个深藏功与名隐身西部农场前江湖杀手的故事。剧情不紧凑，前面有些散漫，许多对话亦不精彩。后面枪战戏不错，比较干脆利落。故事中儿子的设置没必要，反而拖累剧情。
节奏慢得惊人。为毛要先安排一场拿长枪与匪徒对峙的戏？
坏人总是死于话多,还以为话痨匪徒头子有多大能耐玩猫捉老鼠游戏呢,n次浪费大好优势局面,结果第一枪就被干倒了,装逼失败啊,照例给西部题材加一星
依旧保持西部片的精神内核，只是结局隐喻着西部片没落的现实，而这种现实大概起于三十年之前。
善与恶，爱与死，在2天的故事线里被完美展现。贪婪的本性制造出故事线，父子间束缚的父爱与对自由的渴望冲突，创造了关键节点。通过对话和事件导演干净利落的刻画了老亨利的不为人知的另一面。
不是复仇爽片~对西部片没啥情怀的，就算了，很拖沓~
