The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 马东锡的重拳太解压了，纯爽片，他居然是个美国人。
相比第一部更显平庸一点，只剩下超级英雄马东锡。
很不错，娱乐属性加满了，没那么严肃，血腥程度也足够，反派塑造很不错，威慑力十足

马东锡的电影引发了一种思考：并不仅仅是简单的除恶扬善的主题表达，而是深谙电影心理学的“如何帮助观众宣泄心中暴力”的一种设计。
和第一部比差不少，反派没立起来，甚至起了内讧，本来时长就短了20分钟，让这些杂戏又占了一些，观感明显不如第一部，但总体挺过瘾，boss战马东锡老是挂着一副爸爸揍儿子揍的不耐烦的表情确实可靠，希望能继续出续集，和JohnWicker一样搞成系列电影美滋滋啊
系列片最重要的就是稳妥，稳扎稳打。继承了1的风格，即使暴力桥段，也用轻松的方法叙事。给这个系列定这样的调子非常合理
虽然打戏和血腥的段落比第一步增加了许多，但是紧迫的氛围和燃烧的杀气反而有点不足。（但是马东锡真的帅）
已经不知道多少年没有一天一片刷二遍了，除去本片优秀之外，也确实因为对看好电影的渴望而至的吧。还是更喜欢第一部，还是更喜欢张谦一点点，虽然孙锡久确实很有型。终于知道为啥喜欢看胖胖的神马东锡的动作片了，他真的好萌啊
3.5 没看过1对这类题材也不感兴趣因为有孙锡久看的，不得不说泡菜的动作商业片好成熟，虽然套路但情节引人入胜节奏也好，马东锡让人很有安全感，孙锡久演疯批非常带劲够狠，他俩对手戏确实爽到
第二部说是尺度会小一点，其实也没有，该见血见血该断手断手。动作设计不是很复杂，尤其马东锡的招式重复度很高，除了标志性的扇巴掌以外，过肩摔也用过好几次，可能这就是简单有效的格斗技巧吧。不过从最后车上一对一的打斗能看得出来，韩国电影已经把好莱坞那套快速剪辑的玩明白了，人家这几年发展是真快。
