The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 配乐毁了Frances McDormand的表演，空镜很像国家地理，这部片子真的走入那些游牧者的心了吗？
观影过程中几度产生一种莫名的熟悉感，直到配乐第一次奏起才恍然大悟，这种孤寂与平静的诗意与Ludovico的作曲如出一辙。从有些本末倒置的角度来说，Nomadland是对鲁叔作曲的一次满分影像化表达。

定居是生活，否定生活的人只是houseless，被生活否定的人才是homeless。弗恩不是无家可归，有妹妹可以接纳她，也有情人Dave邀请她。她的可能性不是被否定的，是她否定了可能性。和杰克凯鲁亚克的嬉皮突破界限寻求刺激的在路上不同，无依之地的现代游民是带着创伤在路上。无论哪种在路上，这种生活都是拥抱陌生，讴歌不确定性，这是根植于西方游牧文化基因之上的，而我们是这种文化的局外人，难以共情。

Authentic and hardcore. 女主与天地往来，与同类往来，但也不得不依靠快餐店甚至亚马逊的seasonal job获得最主要的收入，也不得不在最困难的时间求助于中产阶级。我觉得本片本身的cinematography再说，其最大价值在于“仅仅把镜头对准某样东西，你就在做某种表态了。这是不可避免的，因为你为它增加了一个视角。”这是个用fiction作为体裁的纪录片。
悲歌唱成赞歌，凄丽柔美纪录，既然决定上路，就只顾风雨兼程吧，我们路上见！
3.5星吧。感觉有点碎。最打动我的竟然是最后的一句“See you down the road."

虽然我很不了解这个人群，但导演的呈现在我看来还算细腻可信。抒情的部分要是能处理得更成熟克制一些就好了。
